Loving Yourself and Knowing Your Worth

Happy Valentine’s day everyone!

I can’t believe I’m actually saying it.

I used to avoid saying it like the plague but now that I am in a relationship, I just like to say it loool

But on a serious note, for those who do celebrate it, enjoy yourself and for those who don’t…

Don’t worry about it, it’s not a big deal!

Around this time of year (when I was single) I used to be like “damn these people are really loving this made up holiday! It’s just another day.

And I completely get that, it is just another day.

For some it’s a day or celebration and for others it’s a day of gloom

It’s another day, another blessing that you woke up this morning.

You have so many things to be grateful for.

So, if you are spending time with your loved ones, single or in a relationship remember that you are loved.

There may be someone in the world that would love to be in your position, they would love to have your job, your appearance, even a place to live!

I know this holiday can be a distraction to what is happening in the world but don’t let it make you feel isolated just because you’re not in a relationship.

You are in a lifelong, committed relationship with yourself first and foremost.

Catering to your needs and happiness should be your number one goal.

If you need a reminder of how lucky you are, write a list of all that you have accomplished; from small to big.

Keep writing. Even if you think it may not be a big deal. Winning a spelling contest is a big deal.

Being able to cook is a skill there are so many traits that you have that others are inspiring to achieve.

You are so much more than a holiday but if you do celebrate it, make sure to celebrate your achievements too.

Love on yourself and your loved ones.

Everyone needs love.

Thanks for reading and take care.
